Dr. Mrs. Ronke Soyombo

Biography

Ronke Soyombo is an accomplished educationist and business lawyer, a prolific writer, and a Microsoft-certified professional. With 25 years of teaching experience in Nigeria and the United Kingdom, Ronke has earned a name for herself as a stickler for high standards and quality performance.

She is highly skilled in utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) to aid learning in schools. This led to her appointment as ICT Coordinator and Team Leader in April 2001 in London, where she became the first Black Advanced Skill Teacher (AST) for ICT in Lambeth Borough, London (top 3% of teachers in England and Wales).

Her first-rate teaching skills also came to bear in her position as head teacher of two top schools in London and Nigeria, where she worked as director of learning and head teacher, respectively. In Lambeth Borough, London, she was instrumental in helping many underperforming schools to improve and attain higher standards.

Her years in the education sector have availed her cognitive competence in quality assurance and evaluation, stakeholder engagement, budget and resource management, improvement plan implementation, performance optimization, as well as academic intervention schemes aimed at student improvement and inclusion. She is also versed in identifying gaps in education standards, filling those gaps and raising standards through skill impartation to teachers in primary and secondary schools
